Rehabilitation

Elizabeth Riggins earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Franklin Pierce University. After completing her professional degree in New Hampshire she began practicing as an outpatient orthopedic physical therapist in Georgia. Five years ago, Elizabeth's hobbies and love for exploration led her to California on a temporary contract and she has not left since. "I was looking for a place I could focus on patient care in a community based setting and my search led me here." Most of her practice focuses on rehabilitation after injury or surgery, injury prevention and movement performance. Elizabeth is interested in helping people move optimally so they can continue doing the things they love for as long as they can. She chose to practice at Plumas District Hospital because it provides the ability to work one on one with patients in a community setting in the middle of a national forest. Elizabeth is associated with: CPTA, APTA

For fun, Elizabeth enjoys outdoor activities from hiking, biking, climbing and downhill skiing. She'd like to get more into cross country skiing and tennis (and am open to pickle ball).
